Residents in Middlesbrough are encouraged to plan ahead and check road closures before they travel to any NHS appointment or visit people in James Cook University Hospital on Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May as BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend is coming to Stewart Park in Middlesbrough.
Access to all NHS services around Stewart Park will be maintained at all times although some diversions will be in place.
Patients are therefore advised to check details of the road closures and allow extra time when travelling to and from NHS appointments. Some car parks will be affected so please check before you travel.
During the event first aiders will be available on site, or you can go to your nearest pharmacy or if you need urgent care during the Big Weekend and aren’t sure which service you need, you can call NHS 111 and they will be able to refer you to the most appropriate service.
