RESIDENTS in Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield are being reminded to stock up on their medicines before Christmas and to use NHS services wisely this year.
The NHS is urging people with repeat prescriptions to make sure they have enough to last over the festive period and to keep basic medications at home including painkillers, plasters, rehydration powders, indigestion tablets and a first aid kit.
Pharmacies are also able to provide qualified health advice on everyday illnesses and answer any questions about prescribed and over-the-counter medicines.
For urgent, non-emergency, medical concerns people are urged to call NHS 111.
Pharmacy opening hours across Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield will be reduced over the Christmas period, but there will be some open each day should you need them.
Make sure you know the opening times!
