The final decision about proposed changes to GP ‘hubs’ which provide additional appointments during weekdays, evening and weekends across Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield will be made next Tuesday.
The decision will be made from 9.30am – 12.30pm at a Governing Body meeting at Lanchester Community Centre, Newbiggen Lane, Lanchester, Durham, DH7 0NT on Tuesday May 28.
The current nine ‘hubs’ are in Stanhope, Barnard Castle, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor, Newton Aycliffe, Sedgefield, Peterlee, Seaham and Easington. The CCG has consulted with people about recommendations to deliver the service from a reduced number of ‘hubs’.
The consultation was extended from six to 12 weeks to allow more people to have their say. An independent consultation report has been produced and the CCG is urging local people to attend the Governing Body meeting on May 28 where they will discuss the recommendations of the report and make a final decision about the future of the service.
In order to ensure that appropriate seating is provided, please register your attendance (informing of any special requirements) with Margaret Coyle on 0191 371 3220 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Meeting agendas and papers will be available prior to the meeting online
