All decisions made by NHS Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield (DDES) Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) staff members on the provision or acceptance of gifts and hospitality must be able to withstand both internal and external scrutiny.
Casual gifts or offers of hospitality by contractors or others must not be in any way connected with the performance of duties so as to constitute an offence under the Bribery Act 2010. They must be defensible as being in the direct interest of the organisation, as being proportionate to that interest and within limits that are acceptable to the Governing Body.
